Visions of Light, the newest community outreach program from Ars Lyrica Houston, is a multicultural musical journey featuring vocal chant and improvisatory percussion derived from cultures around the world. Curated by longtime Ars Lyrica collaborators Cecilia Duarte, mezzo-soprano, and Jesús Pacheco, percussion, this program creates an immersive, meditative experience centered on reflection, mindfulness, and a sense of shared humanity. By bringing together diverse musical and spiritual traditions, Visions of Light invites audiences to pause, listen, and experience music as a source of connection across cultures and communities. Together, we'll celebrate the ties that unite our communities — both close to home and around the world.

Ars Lyrica Houston is delighted to premiere Visions of Light at Rothko Chapel on Sunday, December 6, 2026, as a part of their Winter Solstice celebration.
